Delivery and server logs

When the website is opened, the hosting infrastructure processes technically necessary connection and log data. This may include the IP address, date and time, requested file or URL, referrer URL, browser and operating-system information, data volume, and HTTP status.

Processing is necessary to deliver the website securely, reliably, and without errors. It is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the secure and functional operation of the website. The hosting provider is a recipient of this data. Logs are retained only as long as necessary for operations, troubleshooting, and IT security, unless a legal duty or a specific security incident requires longer retention.

Log availability

Vercel documents one hour of runtime-log access for the Hobby plan. Processing and retention of provider-generated traffic, security, and system data are governed by Vercel’s then-current terms and privacy notice independently of dashboard availability.

Contact by email

If you contact me by email, sender and contact details, time, subject, message content, and any attachments are processed to handle and answer the request.

For contractual or pre-contractual requests, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other requests are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in handling incoming communication. The email service provider may receive the data as a technical service provider. Data is deleted after the request is completed unless legal retention duties or legitimate interests in establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims require longer retention.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no cookies. When you manually change the colour scheme, only the selected value is stored under the keytheme in browser sessionStorage. Its possible values are light and dark. The value is not automatically transmitted to the operator or hosting provider and remains only for the lifetime of the current browser tab.

This session storage is created only after the colour scheme is expressly selected. No consent is requested for analytics, marketing, or other non-essential storage because none is used.

Web analytics

No web analytics, tracking, profiling, personalised advertising, or embedded third-party content is used. No analytics integration is included in the delivered website code. Before any later activation, this notice will be updated and any required prior consent will be implemented.

External links

The website links to external services such as GitHub, LinkedIn, and certification-verification pages. No data is sent to those providers merely by visiting this website. A direct connection is established only after an external link is selected; the respective provider is responsible for the subsequent processing.

Recipients and international transfers

Personal data is disclosed only to technical providers where required for hosting or email communication, or where legally required. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc. in the United States. Vercel states that data may be processed in the United States and where its subprocessors operate and identifies, where applicable, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer mechanism. The terms accepted for the confirmed Hobby plan apply to the account. Email communication is handled through Heinlein Hosting GmbH (mailbox.org), Schwedter Straße 8/9A, 10119 Berlin, Deutschland.

Provision and automated decisions

There is no statutory or contractual obligation to actively provide personal data merely to visit the website. However, the website cannot be delivered without processing technically necessary connection data. No solely automated decision-making, including profiling under Article 22 GDPR, takes place.
